NOTE: Gull Lake Sailing Club is racing Wednesday evenings with COVID-19 procedures to follow government regulations. These include nose and mouth coverings for any time people might be 6 feet apart or closer, Social Distancing (6 feet or more) whenever possible, and staying home with a fever or feeling unwell. Should government regulations change, they will be in force.
Welcome to the Gull Lake Sailing Club! In our third year, we are fun group of sailors who love sailing and being out on the water. The club is mainly focused on growing sailing and sailboat racing in Michigan! There is nothing like feeling the power of the wind to move a sailboat across the water!
Racing sailboats sharpens sailing skills and teaches a sailor how to “find the wind” and keep the sails trimmed for optimal performance.
The Sunfish class sailboat is the most popular racing sailboat on Gull Lake. This one-design is good for beginners and seasoned sailors alike!
However, ANY one-design Class that has three or more member boats registered with the club qualifies for a race start; must have two boats in the starting area any given race day to get a start.
If you’re interested in racing this year, please see the 2020 Notice of Race Series flier and join the racing action!!
